This is the Prayer for Today, Aug. 12, 2015, as submitted by a Telegraph reader.
He who created all things. Without you, nothing would have been created. I need you in the most desperate of ways. I’m in dire straits. My people have gone astray. My people have gone the way of other nations. We’re fighting among ourselves. We are killing our unborn; we hate one another’s color. If we hate a simple thing as that, we also hate you, because you created all. We are in trouble and in danger of feeling your wrath, but you have been merciful, waiting for us to turn from our wicked ways. How long will you be patient? Help us father, help us. Amen.
