Prayer for today (6/8/17)
Holy Jesus, Lord of love and life, the news is troubling when people who are innocent and defenseless have to suffer from oppression and those who unfortunately lose their lives. We pray for these dear ones and cannot imagine what unspoken things they endure that we cannot hardly bear to know. Help us to pray even more than we do for this suffering to find it’s end. Give us the gift of love for our fellow man as you have taught us. Be with us, I pray, as we are united in one purpose, to bring peace and joy to your blessed kingdom, Amen.
