Clear some room on your pantry shelves, because there are three new players entering the pasta arena. Monte's Fine Foods, a cult-favorite pasta and pasta sauce company with a 120-year Italian-American legacy, has launched three new artisanal pasta shapes.

Like all of Monte's pastas, the three new shapes are made with just two ingredients, organic durum semolina and water, making them both vegan and non-GMO. Monte's pasta is slow-dried, made in small batches, and bronze-die extruded, "which leaves a rough surface to better soak up sauce," says the brand.

The three new shapes are visually appealing as well. There's the stella shape, a hollow tube with sharp points that look like a six-point star on the ends, giving the effect of a shooting star. Bozzolo has a curled, hollow structure, similar to a cocoon, that allows it to fill up with sauce for tiny bursts of flavor with every bite. And then there's conchiglia, which is perfect for a summer pasta party with its seashell shape. Just like the bozzolo, it's designed to grab onto more sauce with its hollow structure.

In addition to the pasta launch, Monte's is also introducing a limited-edition merch collection, Pasta Beach. Inspired by vintage Italian beach culture, the collection features crewneck sweatshirts, tote bags, hats, and more.

Monte's isn't the only brand launching new pasta shapes, as earlier this year, Barilla introduced its new radiatori shape into its premium bronze-cut pasta line, Al Bronzo by Barilla. It has a five-winged, layered shape and joins other popular shapes in the certified organic line, including bucatini, spaghetti, mezzi rigatoni, penne rigate, fusilloni, and orecchiette.
