Blue Bell's Festive Summer Flavor 'Finally' Returns to Stores Nationwide After Nearly a Decade
Blue Bell is getting into the patriotic spirit, just in time to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
The beloved creamery announced the return of a fan-favorite summer flavor that will leave you feeling like the Fourth of July.
"Celebrate America's 250th anniversary with Blue Bell!" the Instagram post began, revealing that Red, White & Blue Bell Ice Cream returns to stores starting today, June 4.
While the flavor leans into patriotic vibes, it's also the perfect way to cool off during the hot summer months, with a refreshing mix of fruity flavors that capture the taste of the season.
The "festive flavor" consists of "Strawberry Ice Cream loaded with succulent strawberries, a creamy vanilla flavored ice cream, and a smooth blueberry flavored ice cream with real blueberries packaged side by side in one carton."
Customers can pick it up in the half-gallon size for a limited time.
Fans couldn't contain their excitement over the flavors' timely return, writing, "ITS BACK ITS BACK I BEEN ASKING FOR YEARS AND ITS BACK ITS BACK," "YES YES YES FINALLY ITS MY FAVORITE," and "So happy to see it back! So good!!!"
And it's understandable, as the ice cream, which first debuted in 2014, hasn't been back for almost a decade, last being spotted on freezer shelves in 2017.
While it's the perfect choice as America celebrates its 250th birthday, it's also perfect for a variety of summer celebrations.
"A bowl of Red, White & Blue Bell is a great way to welcome summer and celebrate America's 250th anniversary," said Carl Breed, vice president of sales and marketing, in a press release, adding, "This season is filled with barbecues, Fourth of July parties, and sunny days by the pool. Red, White & Blue Bell Ice Cream is a delicious treat for all those fun occasions."
As for the decision to bring back this specific flavor, Breed expressed, "It was a unanimous decision to have Red, White & Blue Bell return this year."
Blue Bell's Red, White & Blue Bell Ice Cream joins the newest summer release, Black Raspberry Fudge, along with another seasonal fan-favorite, Peaches and Homemade Vanilla.
