Warner Robins, Perry restaurants get a ‘C’ on routine health inspections. Why?

The Georgia Department of Health issues a ”C” for marginal compliance with a score from 70 to 79 upon inspection.
The Georgia Department of Health issues a ”C” for marginal compliance with a score from 70 to 79 upon inspection.

Three Warner Robins restaurants and one in Perry were required to have follow-up inspections after receiving “C’s” for marginal compliance on July routine health inspections.

All four had at least one violation for food held at improper temperatures.

The restaurants include a Krystal off Hawkinsville Highway, Stoners Pizza Joint off Ga. 96, and Wild Wing Cafe off Lake Joy Road, all in Warner Robins, as well as Oliver Perry’s in downtown Perry.

Meanwhile, most Houston County restaurants, bars, coffee shops and food trucks earned “A’s” on routine health inspections for the reporting period of July 1-31, according to what was reported in the online health department portal Monday. Of those, multiple earned perfect scores of 100.

Also, just over a dozen restaurants and one food truck got “B’s,” while none received a failing grade of “U.”

State Environmental Health inspectors assign grades based on how many points are deducted from 100, with scores at 69 and below considered failing.

Restaurants and other food establishments that receive either a “U” or a “C” on a routine inspection are required to have follow-up inspections, which usually take place within 10 days of the routine inspection.
