There are more than 165 days until Christmas, but Macon can’t wait that long! See how businesses are bringing the holiday spirit to July with these events and specials that provide a preview of the holiday season.
Christmas in July at Fall Line Brewing Co with Macon Pops
On Thursday, July 24, starting at 6 p.m., there will be a blend of Christmas music and beach tunes at Fall Line Brewing Co. The live music will be performed by Macon Pops CEO and founder Steve Moretti, alongside Josh Carson, to fundraise on behalf of Macon Pops. Say “Macon Pops” when ordering food or drinks, and a portion of the sale will go to the orchestra as they prepare to host their free Macon Pops Christmas Spectacular. Last year, more than 38,000 people gathered downtown for this special event, and with fundraising efforts like Christmas in July, they hope to make it an even grander show that will continue at no cost for attendees.
Macon Bacon Christmas in July game
The Macon Bacon will host the Florence Flamingos for their Christmas in July theme night game on Thursday, July 31 starting at 7 p.m. They will offer happy hour specials during the game. Fans are encouraged to dress up with the Christmas spirit in mind and can expect to be immersed in the holiday spirit at historic Luther Williams Field for the theme night.
Board & Brush Creative Studio Christmas in July Workshops
Providing the perfect excuse to beat the heat, gather with friends and register for a Board & Brush Christmas in July workshop, Board & Brush offers various arts and crafts workshops that bring Christmas cheer to summer. On Friday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m. they kick off with the Christmas in July PYP workshop. During this most popular workshop at Board & Brush, participants are instructed step-by-step on how to create a unique wood sign. On Saturday, July 19 at 10 a.m. and on Friday, July 25 at 2 p.m. there will be Ornament Make & Take workshops. During these events, guests will create a fun set of five ornaments with a provided set of designs and paint colors. Check out their website for more information on how to register.
Christmas in July Ride
Hosted by Indian Motorcycle of Macon, the Christmas in July Ride is a donation-only sojourn on behalf of children of the Georgia Industrial Children’s Home. The event begins on Saturday, July 19, and registration is at 9 a.m. at KSU. The ride will start at Indian Motorcycle of Macon and will end at the Children’s Home, where everyone will get the opportunity to meet and hang out with the children. Christmas in July at the Rookery with the Christmas Tree Cheesecake
The Rookery is bringing back their famous Christmas Tree Cheesecake for their Christmas in July special. The cheesecake is inspired by Little Debbie’s Christmas Tree Cakes and brings customers a slice of Christmas in the middle of summer.
Christmas in July at Village Coffee
Village Coffee in the historic Ingleside Village is imbued with holiday spirit, with Christmas lights strung up all around the cafe. They are offering specials like peppermint mochas and gingerbread lattes to spread the Christmas cheer this summer.
