Downtown Macon brewpub quickly reopens after surprise closure
Ocmulgee Brewpub announced an unexpected closure Wednesday, but it quickly ended as the owners resolved a maintenance issue.
The pub — a downtown favorite know for its burgers and craft beer selection — said it would be closed “until further notice” in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon.
The owners said a hood vent motor, an electric fan that powers the fan inside a range hood, broke Wednesday. The restaurant couldn’t find a replacement part in Macon or Atlanta, and had to get one from out of state.
While Ocmulgee Brewpub initially wasn’t sure how long it would be until they could reopen, the part arrived Thursday, just in time for the eatery to open for dinner.
The brewpub was set to open at 4 Thursdsay.
