The best burger in Macon? After 11k votes, here’s the winner of our bracket
Our burger bracket battle has come to an end after four rounds and over 11,000 votes.
We started our burger bracket with 17 meaty, saucy restaurants in Macon, including The Rookery, Ocmulgee Brewpub, Piedmont Brewery and Taco Mac.
However, there could only be one winner.
In the final round, it was between Bear Burgers at Mercer Village and Grey Goose Players Club on Forsyth Road.
So, which restaurant took the golden patty?
Bear Burgers at Mercer Village
Bear Burgers dominated in almost every round. In round one, Bear Burgers won with over 70% of the vote and in round two, the restaurant got 65% of the vote. However, round three presented some challenges as Grey Goose took the majority vote with 63%.
In the final round, the two restaurants battled it out and the competition was closer than ever. But alas, Bear Burgers secured the big win with 54% of the vote.
So, why do you love Bear Burgers so much? Well, maybe it’s the location because it’s conveniently located at Mercer near Mercer University and surrounded by other great Macon restaurants.
Or perhaps it’s the atmosphere, which is perfect for college game day or a night out with friends. Or maybe it’s the crazy good menu that offers several different types of juicy, fresh burgers and yummy sides.
Whatever the reason, we’re on board 100%.
