Of all the Chick-fil-A menu items, Georgia loves the tender, flaky biscuits and sweet frozen treats most, but what about some more unique, quirky options?
We’ve already told you how much Middle GA loves Chick-fil-A. Macon is one of the top 10 cities in sales of chicken biscuits and peach milkshakes in the entire country. Atlanta was also high up on the chicken biscuit list.
Chick-fil-A shared a few of their near-misses, “We asked Chick-fil-A Chefs Christy Cook and Shona Johnson, two of the masterminds behind the Chick-fil-A menu, to share some of their most memorable recipes that have helped Chick-fil-A ‘fail forward.’”
Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls
These fluffy, delicious items were “biscuit dough with cinnamon, butter and sugar, that was then cut, baked and topped with icing,” the franchise wrote. While they allegedly tasted great, they ultimately failed to launch because they couldn’t be made fresh every morning for customers to enjoy.
Chicken Quesadilla
The chicken quesadilla “was made from the Chick-fil-A® Nuggets, cheese and tortilla,” said the franchise. Unfortunately, this item failed to make it on the menu because it took too long to prepare and couldn’t be served to customers quickly in a drive-thru line.
Rosemary Garlic Flatbread Wrap
This item was both loved and hated by a test group of customers who couldn’t guess that the item was from Chick-fil-A. Although it ended up getting cut, it actually inspired the first Grilled Cool Wrap.
Cranberry Orange Bagel
The Chick-fil-A kitchen loved this super unique item, but customers never got a chance to taste it. The chefs topped a square cranberry, orange-flavored bagel with chicken and it came with a side of cream cheese.
