Craft Beer. Live Music. Food. Games.

It’s all happening this weekend at the sixth annual Just Tap’d Craft Beer Festival.

This Saturday, April 30, from 1-5 p.m., Just Tap’d will host breweries from all over the country and you’ve got a front-row seat to all the delicious action. The festival will take place at the Just Tap’d location in Macon at 488 First Street.

If you are a beer connoisseur or just love to hang out with family and friends, you don’t want to miss this event.

Did we mention admission is free?

“It’s a free event to attend. People can come with their kids, dogs and friends to hang out on the lawn. If you want to sample the beer, there is a fee, but I think people love this event because it is free and more laid back, which is different from other beer festivals,” said Janice Hedgelin, manager of Just Tap’d.

Craving more? We’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick preview of the festival:

Craft Beer

Lager, IPA, sour, pilsner or stout: There will be 35+ breweries pouring out over 100 beers this weekend.

Each brewery will not only be enjoying delicious beer with the people of Macon, but will also be available to answer questions about the brewing process.

In addition to Macon favorites such as Fall Line Brewing Co. and Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen, the festival will host other breweries like The Viking Alchemist Meadery, Scofflaw Brewing Company and more. Check out the full list of breweries on the festival’s Facebook page.

Live Music

After you’ve sipped a few beer samples, keep the good times rolling with great live music, featuring The Pink Stones, Adam and the Testifiers and Lucibelle.

If you are unfamiliar with these bands, now is the time to brush up.

The Pink Stones are no strangers to the Peach State. They are a Georgia-grown band from Athens that has a country rock style, with deep southern flare. The band’s unique sound comes from their immense knowledge of the south’s strong roots in classic rock and twangy country.

Adam and the Testifiers are from Atlanta, but have played all across the south in states like Florida, North Carolina and Alabama. With their laid back, funky stylings, they are sure to get your vibe right and keep it that way all night.

And finally, a Macon-made band: Lucibelle. Lucibelle formed in 2019 and is an alternative southern pop band. Listeners are sure to get lost in the delicate vocals and toe-tapping drums as they dance with a drink in hand.

Food and Games

You didn’t think we’d forget food, right?

The festival will have a barbecue food truck on site and several other tasty food vendors to enjoy. Be sure to keep a check on the Just Tap’d Facebook page for when those food vendor details drop.

While you’re chomping on something savory, be sure to grab some friends and let the games begin, because there will be complimentary yard games available at the festival.

“We will have giant Jenga and checkers, tons of cornhole boards, sidewalk chalk, inflatables, bean bags to sit on, giant connect four and plenty of room on the lawn to hang out,” Hedgelin said.

Tickets

For $40, you can purchase the Beer Lover ticket, which includes a limited edition five-ounce beer tasting glass and unlimited access to all beers being poured in the park.
