Easter is right around the corner, but will the Easter bunny need an umbrella for 2023?
Easter is right around the corner, but will the Easter bunny need an umbrella for 2023?

The Easter bunny is coming, but he might need an umbrella when he travels through Macon this weekend.

Here’s the weather forecast for Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9.

Friday

According to AccuWeather, Good Friday’s low will be around 53 degrees and the high around 71. Macon will have more than a 90% chance of rain and we could see a heavy thunderstorm come through and leave flooding in its wake.

Saturday

On Saturday, AccuWeather is forecasting it will be a little cooler with lows around 48 and a high around 57. Expect some heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Sunday

On Sunday, there’s only a 25% chance of rain, with lows around 48 and highs in the 60s. The Weather Channel predicts some light rain in the morning on Easter Sunday, but will clear out, leaving just clouds the remainder of the day.

Keep your little chicks dry all weekend with these egg-cellent indoor Easter ideas for all ages from Good Housekeeping:

Chickers

Checkers gets an Easter twist when you exchange the round pieces for easy, DIY chicks and bunnies.

Freeze Dance

Here’s a classic that is always fun. Play freeze dance with Easter-themed songs like “Here Comes Peter Cottontail,” “The Bunny Hop” and “Hot Cross Buns.” Players are out if they do not freeze when the music stops.

Hoppin’ Easter Egg Hunt

Egg hunts aren’t all about chocolates and coins. Fill half of the plastic eggs with fun challenges (think: quack like a duck) to get everyone — young and old — in the holiday spirit.
