Georgia to visit Mercer in baseball

The first four games of Georgia’s 2016 baseball season will be against in-state teams, and the Bulldogs’ first road trip is a short one.

Georgia will visit Mercer on Feb. 23 after three home games against Georgia Southern. The Bulldogs released the schedule on Thursday.

It features non-conference home series against Charleston Southern, Wright State and Lipscomb, and games against Clemson, Kennesaw State and Western Carolina.

Georgia plays Georgia Tech in Atlanta on April 12 and in Athens two weeks later. The game at Turner Field is May 17.

Mercer returns the trip to Athens on March 22.
