Flu shots to be offered again for Bibb County students
The Bibb County school system, in partnership with the North Central Health District and the Macon-Bibb County Health Department, will offer flu vaccines again to students in elementary and middle schools beginning Tuesday.
Letters and consent forms were sent home in December with all elementary and middle school students for the flu vaccination program. Students may present the consent forms on the day of immunization if they have not already done so, according to a statement from the school system. Vaccines also will be available to members of the school’s staff, who may use Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO, United Healthcare, Cigna State Employee Health Insurance and Medicare as accepted forms of insurance.
High school students participated in the vaccination program in December.
