Eight-year-old boy injured in pedestrian accident in East Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday night that it is investigating a traffic accident on Maynard Street near Taylor Street.

According to the release, an 8-year-old boy from Macon was running across Maynard Street and ran in front of a Honda Civic driven by 73-year-old Mable Swain, who is also from Macon. The child was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center to be treated for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.

There are no charges at this time.
