New Mexican restaurant opens in downtown Macon. Look inside, see what’s on the menu
Macon foodies, unite. It’s time to fiesta.
Another Mexican restaurant is now open in downtown Macon and we’ve got all the details.
Guitarras Mexican Grill now has three locations in Macon: one on Tom Hill, one on Thomaston Road and the newest of the three, on Spring Street.
The restaurant called, Guitarras Mexican Grill & Cafe, is located on 781 Spring Street in downtown Macon.
The location might look familiar to Maconites, as it was Nature’s Table, a sandwich and smoothie shop that closed in early 2024.
The restaurant announced their grand opening on Facebook on May 23.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Guitarras location, right outside Atrium Health Hospital,” the post said.
Here’s what’s cooking:
Similar to the other Guitarras locations, the restaurant offers a hefty menu, full of Mexican favorites like nachos, burritos, quesadillas, tacos, fajitas and special dishes like empanadas and sopes.
And did we mention margaritas? This place has plenty.
From lime to strawberry and La Paloma margaritas, this restaurant will get the party started. In addition to a plethora of tequila brands to try, there are also endless beer and wine options.
This restaurant is a bit different from its other locations. It’s set up like a modern cafe, with black walls, an industrial ceiling and large, open windows bringing in natural light. And of course a massive bar.
“We are thrilled to have you here and ready to serve you an amazing dining experience. Whether you’re looking for delicious Mexican cuisine, a lively bar atmosphere, or a cozy cafe setting, we have it all,” as stated on the restaurant’s Facebook.
