Sports-themed grill & bar in Macon closes suddenly just before the Super Bowl. What we know

If you were going to watch the big game at Glory Days Grill in Macon, you’ll have to make other plans.

The popular sports-themed restaurant and bar at 3933 Arkwright Road announced its last day of service was on Monday, Feb. 5.

The news of the sudden closure broke on social media with a Facebook post in the “Support Macon Restaurants” group.

The post made by Chris Hogan contained a photo of an email sent by the franchise, which said:

“After 4 years of serving the community of Macon with passion and dedication, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors. The decision to close was not made lightly, circumstances evolve.”

Details on the reason for the closing were not available. The owner of the business could not immediately be reached for comment.

The email also extended a thanks to all employees and customers over the years.

“It was an honor to serve you,” the email read.
