A legendary singer-songwriter is returning to Macon for a concert. How to get tickets
Beloved American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will perform in the Macon City Auditorium next year, according to a news release from the Oak View Group on Monday.
Dylan, from Minnesota, is best known for “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Subterranean Homesick Blues” and many more tracks off his records. He will perform April 22 at 8 p.m. in the Macon City Auditorium as part of his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour, according to the news release.
Tickets will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and will be available via Ticketmaster or at the box office at the Macon Coliseum. There also will be multiple presale opportunities happening Thursday, the Ticketmaster website says.
“Bob Dylan’s career has lasted the better part of 60 years now,” the news release said. “He has never gotten by on sentimentality or nostalgia. He has never repeated his successes. Dylan has always pushed his work ahead.”
Ticketmaster notes that the show will not permit cellphones, cameras, or recording devices. Upon entry, all phones will be secured in pouches that can be opened once the concert ends. Guests can use their phones in designated Phone Use Areas, but if seen using a phone during the performance in a non-designated area, they will be escorted out of the venue.
This will be Dylan’s third time in Macon. He performed at the City Auditorium in April 1991 and October 2018.
