Get ready for the best ladies night out
Grab your gal pals, “Magic Men Live” is headed to the City Auditorium. Billed as “the first live stage production to bring the phenomenon of ‘Magic Mike,’ ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and others to life with a high-energy and breath-taking experience unlike any other,” the tour stops in Macon on Sunday night.
Myles Hass, the tour manager and emcee for “Magic Men,” said the concept developed about six years ago.
“We started developing it and performing it locally. It slowly turned into a really popular event. We took it on the road last year,” Hass said. “Before we knew it, we were touring the whole county in a tour bus with a production team and production crew.”
Featuring the hottest popular music, original compositions and choreography, “Magic Men” aims to provide an unforgettable and fun evening of entertainment for a wide-spectrum audience.
“It doesn’t matter the girls’ ages or backgrounds,” Hass said. “This show is for almost everyone. We do push some boundaries as far as male entertainment, but it’s a tasteful show. You’ll have to wait to see what we mean by that.”
Hass went on to call the show a “high energy ladies’ night out.” It features a diverse cast of male entertainers, each with a unique look, persona and personality.
“Girls can expect to have a really fun night,” he said. “Our goal is to make sure everyone in the audiences forgets about everything for one night of fun.”
As emcee, Hass said his job is icebreaker for the performance.
“I’m the first person the girls see and it’s my job to help get them into their comfort zone. They don’t know what to expect and they might be afraid it’s sleazy and distasteful,” he said. “My job is to loosen them up and get them comfortable and give them an idea for what kind of night it’s going to be. I want them to be laughing and having fun. I crack jokes and tease the crowd to draw them into the experience and get them out of their heads for the moment. I want the audience to be open and receptive to what’s about to happen.”
The show runs at least two hours.
“Our show is interactive. We have guys in the audience and some girls get to come on stage. It’s a ‘hands-on’ experience,” Hass said, before adding, “It’s really about the eye candy.”
Hass said to check out magicmenlive.com “to get to know us better” before the performance.
This is the tour’s first stop in Macon, one of only two stops in Georgia.
“We really looking forward to meeting the audience and seeing the energy they bring to the show,” he said. “The more excited the audience, the more fun we have on the stage.”
