History comes to life during 'Night at the Museum' at Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins
History will come to life Saturday as the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins hosts its third "Night at the Museum."
The biennial event will take place in the Century of Flight and the Scott WWII Exhibit hangars and, like the movie of the same name, will feature characters and planes coming to life to meet visitors, said office manager Valerie Myers.
"Most of the planes are not usually open for people to go in, but some may be open so they have that opportunity. We'll also have real veterans and pilots talking about their experiences," she said.
Visitors also will be able to "meet" historical figures like Rosie the Riveter and Amelia Earhart, and Albert Einstein will be conducting hands-on activities.
Pizza will be sold for those who want to enjoy dinner at the museum, and drawings for gift certificates for the Museum's Young Astronaut Day and summer camps will be held throughout the night.
"Night at the Museum" is suitable for family members of all ages, and proceeds support education programs such as the National STEM Academy and Aviation Heritage Center at the museum.
Tickets are available in advance at www.museumofavia tion.org or at the door.
