Emmy winner actor Tony Hale is returning to Macon for the holidays and will spend an evening with some of his local fans Monday at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church.

"Our church has a men's ministry called Fishers of Men, and we have a speaker every six weeks, someone who has had an interesting life or interesting career. It's been a great blessing for our church," said Tony's Hale's father, Mike Hale. "In deciding on our future speakers, I realized our son was coming home for a few days and thought it would be fun to have him speak, not just to the men but to the whole church."

The public is invited to the program, which is appropriate for all ages and will feature the two-time Emmy Award winning actor telling his story about moving to New York and getting started in acting. Tony Hale is best known for his roles in "Arrested Development" and "Veep."

Youth pastor Ashley Griffin will serve as moderator. Guests are welcome to ask questions of Tony Hale, and "it takes off from there," Mike Hale said. "At the end of the evening, people can come down and meet with Tony personally and take selfies and all. He loves doing that."

Reservations can be made by going to the Martha Bowman UMC Facebook events page, and will be granted on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets will be issued when you arrive at the event. To confirm your reservation, call 478-477-1901 on Dec. 28.
