The OGs of Comedy show, being held at the City Auditorium on Saturday, is bringing together three comedy stand-up veterans in Don "DC" Curry, Jay Anthony Brown and Michael Colyar.

With more hours of stage experience between them than can be counted, this "Old Guard" is bound to leave their audience with aching face and stomach muscles caused by excessive laughter. In addition to the three headliners, comedian K-Dubb (Kelly Walker) has been specially selected to host the Old Guard performance, due to his quick wit and his own skills as a stage comedian.

"Macon is in for a treat as four of the funniest comedians come together for one show only. ... Attendees will experience gut-busting laughter from these seasoned veterans that have graced stages across the globe and have been seen in movies and television shows throughout their careers," said show manager Nicole Martin.

Here's more about the comedians:

J. Anthony Brown, according to his website, "is a titanic comedic force ... (who) will get to your funny bone. His penchant for alligator shoes and rainbow colored suits conveys his 'party time' approach for fun." Brown began his career by chance in 1972 after relocating to Atlanta. He was "originally pursuing a career as a clothing designer when, $316 short of tuition money, he visited a local club and entered a gong show contest" and never looked back.

Michael Colyar knew stardom was in his future from a young age. According to his website, from "the time he was a little boy when he would run away from home ... (Colyar) would always head west, because that's where Hollywood was." Colyar's brand of humor appeals to audiences that range "from old to young ... all colors ... all nationalities ... his audience could truly be called a melting pot." Known for his high-energy performances, perfect delivery and dynamic stage presence, there is a reason that Colyar is considered one of the best of the best.

Audiences can either approach Don "DC" Curry for advice on politics, child-rearing, balancing the budget, being a black man in America and professional baseball, or they can relax and laugh their way through the tour he offers of his brain and thoughts. Curry won top honors as "Comedian of the Year" for the 1995-1996 season and has continued his climb to the top ever since. Touring constantly, he is slaying live audiences all across the country, both as a headliner in some of the nation's hottest clubs, and as a concert act with some of comedy's brightest stars.

"Concert-goers will be wowed by the zany antics and storytelling from our host, Comedian K-Dubb, to our headliner, Don "DC" Curry. These comics have never appeared altogether anywhere until now and it will be a night to remember. You don't want to miss it," Martin said.
