Macon Cherry Blossom Festival announces featured authors

The Cherry Blossom Festival's featured authors at Tuesday's luncheon can help you garden, cook and create a more beautiful home.

Diners at the Cherry Blossom Authors Luncheon at Idle Hour Country Club will hear from Allan Armitage, who wrote 13 books and travels the country sharing his knowledge of landscaping and greenhouse gardening.

Cynthia Graubart, author of "Mastering the Art of Southern Cooking," will encourage the audience to gain confidence in the kitchen as she shares tidbits from her regular Southern Living column called "New Sunday Suppers.

Design Chic blogger and novelist Kristy Harvey also will be speaking at luncheon, which begins at 11:30 a.m. Tuedsay.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at Cherry Blossom Headquarters at 794 Cherry Street.
