Cherry Blossom Battle of Bands tickets on sale

High school marching bands will take the field in less than two weeks for the Cherry Blossom Festival’s Battle of the Bands.

Students from M.A. Evans Academy, Central High, Mount de Sales Academy, Northeast High, Southwest High, Westside High and Mercer University will be performing, according to a news release from the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Tickets are now available for the 2 p.m. event Nov. 15 at Mercer University’s Five Star Stadium.

Advanced tickets for $10 can be bought online at www.cherryblossom.com and at the festival headquarters at 749 Cherry St., at participating schools, Habersham Records and Kali Dance Studio for the Arts, which will present a halftime dance battle.

Tickets at the gate will be $15, but children 6 and under get in for free.

Proceeds benefit the band programs, Men About Change Inc. and Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health.
