Rain closes Central City Park Monday for Cherry Blossom Festival

Central City Park will not open Monday for the Cherry Blossom Festival after all.

After announcing on the festival's Facebook page that the park would open at 1 p.m. after a two hour delay, officials have decided to keep the park closed Monday.

The Big Mike & the Booty Papas concert will still go on but will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Macon City Auditorium. Tickets are $5.

Additionally, Military Recognition Day, in which military personnel and veterans will be given free admission to the park, has been rescheduled for Thursday.
