UPDATE: Cherry Blossom Parade, some other events to go on

It’s said everybody loves a parade, and Mother Nature appears to agree with that.

While poor weather dampened some of the Cherry Blossom Festival events Sunday morning, activities in Central City Park were scheduled to resume at 1 p.m.

The GEICO Pink on Pink Parade will go on at 3 p.m., a spokeswoman for the festival organizers said.

It wasn’t immediately clear if other events tied to the Cherry Blossom Festival would go on as planned.
