‘Think Pink’ car painting kicks off Cherry Blossom events

Cherry blossom artist Peggy Whyte will be painting pink blooms and poodles on car windows Saturday at Acme Paint and Decorating.

Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., cars will line up in the parking lot at 1979 Riverside Drive as Whyte takes orders and paints her signature blossoms, which vary in price depending on the design.

Cherry Blossom Festival royalty and the pink poodles are expected to attend the kickoff, which features live music and sales of souvenirs and refreshments.
