Jason Aldean
Okay, most of us know this one. He was born in Macon on February 28, 1977 and is a multi platinum artist. He’s had 27 number one hits and has sold more than 20 million albums. Aldean frequently visits Macon, especially to raise money for Beverly Knight Olsen Children’s Hospital; his sold out crowd for “Concert for the Kids” raised more than $700k for the hospital.
Little Richard
Little Richard or Richard Wayne Penniman, was born in Macon on December 5, 1932 and passed away in 2020. He was known for his unique rock and roll style, raspy vocals and fun shouting; hits include “Tutti Frutti” and “Good Golly Miss Molly.”
Nancy Grace
Grace was born on October 23, 1959 in Macon and she’s a legal commentator and journalist. She has covered cases involving serial murder, serial rape, serial child molestation and serial arson. Nancy Grace has also produced several movies. She starred in “Midnight Special” (2016) and “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” (2016).
Jack McBrayer
He was born on May 27, 1973 in Macon and is a famous comedian and actor. You may know him from “30 Rock” or “Wreck-It Ralph.” He’s won a Screen Actors Guild Award and has been nominated for several Emmy Awards.
Carrie Preston
She was born in Macon on June 21, 1967 and has starred in shows such as “Claws,” “The Good Wife” and “True Blood.” Most recently, you may have seen her in the Peacock Original show “They/Them.” In 2013, Preston won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role on “The Good Wife.”
Patricia Wilder
She was born on September 8, 1913 in Macon and passed away in 1995. Wilder began as a showgirl at New York City’s Palace Theater, but later became an actress. She was known for her roles in “Speed” (1936) and “Little Miss Broadway” (1938).
Hannah Kasulka
Hannah Kasulka (pictured left) was born in Macon on May 11, 1988. She is known for her role in “The Exorcist” television series, but she has also starred in popular shows such as “The Rookie,” “Modern Family” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” She’s been nominated for an iHorror Award for Best Actress - Horror Series for her role in “The Exorcist.”
James B. Lowe
James B. Lowe was born in Macon on October 12, 1879 and passed away in 1963. He was an American stage and screen actor who famously starred in “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” in 1927. He was also in “Blue Blazes” and “The Hour of Reckoning.”
