Sandra Bullock Just Gave a Nod to 'Miss Congeniality' Day and Fans Are Loving It
Miss Congeniality fans got an extra special treat on April 25, 2026, when the star of the film, Sandra Bullock, made a joke about it on what is lovingly known as Miss Congeniality Day!

"All you need is a light jacket," she wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a photo of herself bundled up in a knee-length puffer jacket paired with a floral skirt and Chelsea boots while smiling slyly at the camera. She also chose "Mustang Sally," which plays in the film while revealing her beauty queen makeover, as the accompanying song.
Of course, the caption is a reference to a famous scene in the movie in which William Shatner's character asks sweet but clueless pageant contestant Miss Rhode Island (played by Heather Burns) her "perfect date," and she responds, "That's a tough one. I'd have to say April 25, because its not too hot and not too cold. All you need is a light jacket."
Bullock was clearly feeling the love on Miss Congeniality Day, and it seems that passion for the film runs in the family. When her pastry chef sisterGesine Bullock-Prado shared a photo of Miss Rhode Island to her own page, Bullock commented, "Heather Burns for the win. Every. Single. Time."

The post is particularly special because Bullock only has four posts total on her Instagram feed right now, and the other three are all hyping up her Practical Magic reboot. Fans were absolutely tickled to see Bullock nod to the special day, and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

"Sandra Bullock acknowledging April 25th on Instagram??? Oh we are so BLESSED," said one excited fan, while another added, "This is everything! Happy April 25th!" with a heart-eyes emoji. Even actress Taylor Polidore fangirled a little, writing, "Oh Sandra, you queen."
