Iconic Disney characters will return to Macon Coliseum ice rink on roadtrip
Beloved Disney characters are going on a road trip and will stop at the Macon Coliseum in November as part of their new “Disney on Ice” show, according to a media release Tuesday.
Mickey Mouse and friends are traveling to “iconic Disney destinations” as part of “Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures,” with stops including London, guided by Mary Poppins, and Motunui, where Princess Moana needs help restoring the heart of Te Fiti. Their road trip will stop at the Macon Coliseum on Nov. 1 and 2, and tickets will go on sale June 17, the media release said.
Those excited for the show can get early access tickets for the best seats available using the pre-sale code PS2DPR on Ticketmaster. Those advance tickets were available starting Tuesday.
The Pride Lands as seen in “The Lion King” will also be a destination in the road trip, with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa being featured on a safari. Prince Aladdin will host a parade that will be filled with “spectacular stunts, magical moments with Genie, and a brand-new song from Jasmine that will render the audience ‘Speechless,’” the media release said.
Woody and Bo Peep from “Toy Story” will host a “larger than life comedic carnival” with their new friend Forky and, lastly, “fans will hit a high note with Mickey and pals while singing along to beloved Disney tunes as they welcome Merida, Belle, Ariel, Mulan and Tiana to the ice,” according to the media release.
The shows on Nov. 1 will be held at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The shows on Nov. 2 will be at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Disney on Ice previously came last year to Macon, which featured Belle from “The Beauty and the Beast” and Coco and the mystical land of the dead, which is featured in “Coco.”
