Ghosts, ghouls and goblins are coming to Middle Georgia this weekend.

The Halloween spirit is in full spook, as there are tons of events to attend with family and friends or alone, if you dare.

Join in on all the screams with these seven events:

This annual event is hosted by and located at Macon’s own Historic Riverside Cemetery, where “Macon’s living can mingle with the dead.” Take a walk through the cemetery with actors dressed as Macon’s earliest residents as they tell stories of triumph, mischief and horror.

Carrie: The Musical

When: Oct. 21-30

Join the Macon Little Theatre as they present one of Stephen King’s horrifying tales, following Carrie White. Similar to the story and other adaptations, this musical includes some adult themes and gore viewer discretion is advised.

Tunnel of Terror Car wash

When: Oct. 21, 22, 28 and 29, 7-10 p.m.

It’s just all “clean, scary, fun,” as vehicles travel through the Tunnel of Terror car wash at Tommy’s Express. The terror includes killer clowns, scary skeletons and monsters of all kinds.

October at the Hay House is always full of frights and spooky sights. Events include Legends and Lore and Haunts on the Hill. Visitors can also go behind the scenes of a normal Hay House tour to see all the Macon history — and you might just witness the paranormal activity for yourself.

Macon Macabre Tour

Where: begins at Just Tap’d at 488 First St. and ends at Parish on Cherry at 580 Cherry St. (Macon)

When: Oct. 21, 28 and 29

Grab your walking boots for this 90-minute walking tour focused on the nightlife and businesses of Macon. During the tour, attendees will get all the juicy (and bloody) details about “Macon’s murder, mayhem and ghostly past.” This event is not recommended for children as adult content will be discussed.

The Nightmare Asylum Haunted House

Where: 1350 Rumble Road (Forsyth)

When: Oct. 21, 22, 28-31

This year’s theme is “Classic Horror” and will feature clowns, freaks with chainsaws and plenty of screams. Attendees will need to sign a waiver, as paranormal activity has been confirmed in and around the property.

Where: 820 N. Mulberry St. (Jackson)

When: Oct. 20-22, 27-29 & 31

One of Georgia Haunted Houses’ top-rated attractions for three years in a row is back for 2022. Get ready for creepy creatures and scary scenes as you walk through the haunted house and attempt to exit.
