Kick off the summer right with some fun, family-friendly events in Middle GA.

We’ve got all the details below:

Macon Bacon Baseball

Where: Luther Williams Field, 225 Willie Smokie Glover Dr. in Macon

When: Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m.

Grab your Cracker Jacks and get ready to see the Macon Bacon battle the Savannah Bananas. Purchase tickets for you or the whole family on the team’s website.

Trivia Night at Just Tap’d

Where: Just Tap’d, 488 First St. in Macon

When: Every Tuesday and Thursday night (May 31 and June 2) from 7 - 8 p.m.

Brush up on your trivia and join in on the fun at Just Tap’d in Macon for their weekly trivia night. Winning teams will receive prizes, so bring your thinking cap.

BBQ & Blues

Where: The Society Garden, 2389 Ingleside Ave. in Macon

When: Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy slow-smoked Satterfield’s barbecue and live music, featuring blues artist EG Knight this Wednesday at The Society Garden. If you’re unfamiliar with EG Knight, the Songbirds Guitar Museum in Chattanooga, Tenn. describes Knight as “class, with a southern drawl.” Bring some cash because there is a $7 cover fee at the door.

Piedmont Summer Festival

Where: Piedmont Church, 6358 Thomaston Road in Macon

When: Friday, June 3, 6 - 9 p.m.

The kids will love this event; the festival will have inflatables, food trucks and a movie on the lawn beginning at 7 p.m.

Concert on the Square - Forsyth

Where: Forsyth Historic Square, 22 West Main St.

When: Saturday, June 4, at 7 p.m.

This free concert on the square in Forsyth will feature opening act, Swain and the OGs and main act, The Grapevine Band. Bring cash for shopping, eating and drinking; and bring your lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
