No acting experience? No problem! The Bill Marinella Casting Agency is holding an in-person open casting call for non-speaking extras at Taste & See Coffee Shop and Gallery (546 Poplar Street in downtown Macon) today from 3-7 p.m.

The agency is asking real families to come out and audition to play themselves in the feature film “Cave Dweller,” although WMAZ reports that “Cave Dweller” is possibly the working title for the next “Halloween” movie.

The film is looking for folks to portray members of the community, EMTs, police officers and trick-or-treaters. They’re looking for kids aged 8-17 and adults.

The moving is filming in the Savannah area from January to March and will pay $120 for 8 hours a day, with an additional $40 for a COVID-19 test available on site, required 48 hours before filming.

The casting agency requires those auditioning to pre-register and create a profile before the event using a QR code or visit Kaast.app/signup. Those who cannot attend in person can also apply online.

Upon arrival, the agency will be on-site taking photos to present to the director. Those attending are encouraged to wear a mask and social distance.
