Chicago’s Floyd has breakout game against Green Bay

Former Dodge County standout Leonard Floyd had a breakout game on national TV Thursday night in the Chicago Bears’ loss to Green Bay.

Floyd had three tackles, including two sacks. On one of the sacks, Floyd forced a fumble and recovered it for a touchdown.

Here’s a look at how the other Middle Georgians in the NFL fared this weekend:

Bud Dupree (Wilkinson County) Pittsburgh: Injured list.

Steven Nelson (Northside) Kansas City: Nine tackles against New Orleans.

Demarcus Robinson (Peach County) Kansas City: Played 16 plays on special teams against New Orleans.

DeAndre Smelter (Tattnall Square) San Francisco: Practice squad.

Demaryius Thomas (West Laurens) Denver: Six catches for 40 yards and a touchdown against Houston.

Erik Walden (Dublin) Indianapolis: Two tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit against Tennessee.
