Houston County quarterback Jake Fromm makes his college choice
Jake Fromm has made the rounds during recruiting, visiting, officially and unofficially, plenty of schools, mostly in the SEC.
Saturday on his Twitter feed was a freshly taken picture of Fromm and Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
There will more of them in the future, since Fromm has committed to the Tide, according to media reports, of which Fromm has retweeted.
At 12:01 p.m. on Saturday, Fromm tweeted, “Hopefully committing soon ...” About five hours later came the first report, on Twitter, from Inside Bama Recruiting, that Fromm appeared bound for Tuscaloosa. Fromm retweeted that report.
And he made it official with a tweet at 8:12 p.m.: “After much thought and prayer I would like to announce that I am committed to the University of Alabama!!!”
Fromm is rising on the list of passing records in Georgia. The junior has 6,257 yards and 54 touchdown passes in 29 games, putting him in the top 22 in both categories.
Mississippi was reportedly second on the list for the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder, who also has a baseball offer from Georgia Tech.
