Veterans High football coach Bruce out after 8 years
David Bruce is out as Veterans High School football head coach.
Bruce, who had held the coaching position for eight years, resigned effective this week, according to a statement from Veterans High Principal Chris Brown.
The statement, issued by the Houston County school district, gave no reason for Bruce’s resignation. It did say Bruce will continue to teach physical education at Veterans.
“Coach Bruce has added value to our school and Warhawk community, to include building a successful athletic program from the ground up and winning a football region championship in 2013,” Brown said in a statement. “He is a great person and a man of integrity, and we wish him only the best.”
