Macon’s Henley in hunt after third-round 67

Macon product Russell Henley put himself into contending position Saturday at the U.S. Open, shooting a 5-under-par 67 at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin, to enter Sunday’s final round at 8-under 208.

Henley sank an 18-foot putt on the par-5 18th to put himself in contention for the title. He had five birdies Saturday, including four on the back nine, and no bogeys. He sits in a tie for seventh, four shots behind leader Brian Harman.
