Any potential suspension for Georgia cornerback Juwuan Briscoe following an April arrest has yet to be determined, head coach Kirby Smart said prior to Thursday’s UGA Day event at the Doubletree by Hilton.

Smart said Briscoe was being disciplined internally and that it's an ongoing process.

“Juwuan’s got a little internal discipline going on currently and still some more to come," Smart said. "Obviously it’s not a good situation. But it’s a situation we addressed."

Briscoe was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license on April 23 by University of Georgia police. Briscoe was pulled over after an officer noticed he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. It was then discovered Briscoe wasn’t licensed to drive in any state.

Apparently, according to Smart, Briscoe wasn't the only Georgia player who did not have a license.

"We had some other guys on the team who didn’t have driver’s licenses and we got it corrected," Smart said.

Following spring practice, Briscoe earned one of Georgia's Most Improved Player awards. He played with the first-team defense at Georgia's annual G-Day spring game.

Briscoe is the fifth Georgia player to be arrested since Smart was hired by Georgia. Defensive lineman Chauncey Rivers (possession of marijuana) was arrested in December and defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter (underage possession of alcohol) was arrested in March.

Freshmen Julian Rochester and Chad Clay were arrested earlier in April on felony possession of a weapon, a BB gun, in a school and criminal damage to property.
