Chauncey Rivers arrested again on misdemeanor marijuana charges
Georgia freshman defensive end Chauncey Rivers was arrested and charged early Saturday morning on misdemeanor charges for possession marijuana of less than an ounce, according to Athens-Clarke County jail records.
Rivers was arrested at 1:12 a.m. and was released after posting a $1,000 bond at 2:54 a.m.
This is the second marijuana-related arrest for Rivers in the past two months. On Nov. 4, Rivers and freshman linebacker Natrez Patrick were arrested for marijuana possession on campus parking lot. Both Rivers and Patrick were suspended for Georgia's game against Kentucky.
A second violation of Georgia's marijuana policy results in a four-game suspension.
This season, Rivers appeared in four games and totaled four tackles.
