Headless and heartless

Not only is the Democratic Party headless it has also shown by its performance that it’s heartless. It has no love for the country. It won’t participate in congressional actions and try to make our lives better. Instead it operates in a resist mode and does all it can to prevent economic growth, safety of our homeland, VA benefits, improvements in health care, etc.

Passive resistance would be bad enough, but its violent and thug-like behavior is disgusting. What can we expect from them next — showing up for work in masks?

The Democrats are known for unity of party which can be good or bad. In this case it’s bad because they are reverting to the lowest of the lows. Fortunately we survived President Obama and averted Hillary and the Lord willing, we will put this terrible episode in our history behind us, too, and go on to being better than ever.

Better candidates?

Gov. Lester Maddox used to say that what Georgia needed in order to improve its prison system was “a better class of prisoners.” What the Democrats need in order to improve their congressional delegation is a better class of candidates: some who will reject the party line that Trump is what’s wrong with this country and that the way to fix it is bigger government and open borders. If the Democratic senators up for re-election next year in states that Trump carried continue their obstructionist policies, the Republicans will have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and Chuck Schumer might as well retire.

How could this be?

Dear Navy, please help this 80-year-old man understand how a large container ship can get within a mile of a U.S. Navy Destroyer and not be clearly tracked. What happened to radar, lookouts and fog horns? I’ve been led to believe over the years that new and improved radar and other secret devices have been developed. In fact news stories have shown the Navy detecting incoming missiles and ships shooting them down. Please clear this up. I’m very confused and worried.

Don’t knock it

I believe Dr. Glenda Wallace, psychologist, when she says she met Jesus “face-to-face.” I have seen a man at times who I later believed was Jesus or a holy angel. In 1976, I was warned by a man not to go off with a stranger who was changing my tire. The man who warned me was the most handsome man I have ever seen, and when he spoke to me, I knew in my heart that I had to obey him. It did not make sense to my mind, but there was never any question that I had to obey. The man who warned me also followed me home for at least part of the way. As I looked at his car in the rear view mirror, the car simply vanished into thin air. Another unusual thing about him was that when I flirted with him, he did not respond. I was a slim burnette, only 22 years-old and whenever I flirted, men responded, but not this one.

Later, when I had my second child in 1988, a man stood beside the dooctor and helped him. This man was dressed the way people dress in the Middle East in biblical times. He had great authority and was a tremendous help to the doctor, but the doctor never spoke to or looked at or acknowledged him in any way. Later when I asked about the man, no one had seen him but me.

Like Alice Herndon, I have also heard a voice at times that I believed to be that of Jesus. A favorite thing this voice likes to say to me is, “I love you.” It is not the voice of my late father nor any deceased relative. I knew their voices. It is a masculine voice and there is a change in my ears just before I hear the voice as if my ears are being opened up.

To you who ridiculed Dr. Wallace, there is a Father in heaven who longs to be part of our lives. He countd all the hairs of our heads because he loves us so much. We can be close to him if we repent of all our sins.

Republican vs. Democrats

It is a shame our government has degenerated into Democrats fighting Republicans and vice versa. With all the problems facing our country, our Congress should put aside partisan conflicts and get on with governing to solve these problems. Just look at what the Clintons got away with, the Republicans had Congressional hearings, but nothing came of it. Now the Democrats are trying to get President Trump impeached. The Democrats appear desperate. If Trump gets his changes through Congress the country could be much better off. People are tired of giving so much money away, unlimited immigration, and letting the world take advantage of us. The Democrats know this could result in the end of the Democratic Party.

Family assistance

My dad, Jerome Cox – age 85 – came to live with my family in February. While taking care of my dad, I was introduced to organizations in Middle Georgia providing assistance to those caring for an elderly loved one. The Area Agency on Aging and Meals on Wheels were two such organizations providing guidance, help and assistance to my father and me.

In March, dad was admitted to Houston Medical Center and staff on 2 North took great care of him while he was there receiving antibiotics for an infection. Toward the end of his time at Houston Medical Center, I met with hospital staff and they advised me that since my dad needed 24-hour care that I look into an assisted living facility. From the hospital, my dad was taken to Summerhill Senior Living Community in Perry where he resided until he passed away June 8. The staff at Summerhill provided great care for my dad. They were patient and understanding with him and proved to me again and again that he was in the right place.

My sincere thanks and appreciation go to the staff at each of these organizations because they all played a critical part in helping my family care for my dad or care for him directly. His passing was sad, yes, but not a tragedy because I know that he was welcomed into heaven by the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords and his Savior, Jesus Christ.
