It may get easier to drive along several dozen Macon-Bibb County roads in the near future.
The county could spend $211,000 for road striping on various streets. A resolution moved through a commission committee on Tuesday, and it will be on the Dec. 6 agenda for final approval.
The improvements would be made on roads spanning the county from Hollingworth Road in west Macon to Old Forsyth Road on the northside.
Among the other streets listed for striping are Houston, Zebulon, North Mumford, and Columbus roads.
Never miss a local story.
Funding would come from local maintenance improvement grants and special purpose local option sales tax proceeds.
Reflective paint would be used for the stripes, and some of the higher speed roads will get raised pavement markers, County Engineer David Forston said.
