The First Gentleman of Hip Hop, Derek "Fonzworth Bentley" Watkins, will be the guest lecturer Thursday at Fort Valley State University.

Watkins, who is known as Sean Diddy Combs' former personal assistant and the host of the MTV reality show "From G's to Gents," will speak at 7 p.m. in the C.W. Pettigrew Center, according to an FVSU news release. The event is sponsored by the university's Center for Retention Services and the Office of Campus Life.

Watkins is a graduate of Atlanta's Morehouse College and now lives in Los Angeles. He currently hosts BET's "Lift Every Voice" in which he holds in-depth conversations with popular gospel singers. He was named the First Gentleman of Hip Hop by GQ magazine.
