Houston students earn prize at national FCCLA contest
A Houston County student won a top prize at a national contest this fall. Samantha Jacobs, a student at Bonaire Middle School, won third place in impromptu speaking at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America National Cluster Meeting in Washington, D.C., in November.
In addition, Bonaire Middle was among 10 middle schools chosen to participate in the "iBuckleUp, weBuckleUp" Seat Belt Summit. Holly Anderson is the school's FFCLA adviser.
