Houston High student wins essay contest
Vennela Gosukonda, a freshman at Houston County High School, has won first place in an essay contest. The International Environmental Youth Symposium “One World, One Environment” competition was hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 4.
Gosukonda’s essay, titled “Save the Ganges River,” was entered in the Preventing Air and Water Pollution category.
