Perry High wins national FFA award
The nursery and landscape FFA team at Perry High School scored first place at a national event. The FFA Nursery/Landscape Career Development event, held in Indianapolis, tested students on their horticulture, nursery and landscaping knowledge and skills.
Perry team members were Stephen Dickerson, Dawson Dooley, Joshua Lee and Dustin Pitzer, with Argene Claxton as their FFA adviser and agriculture education teacher. In the individual competitions, Lee earned first place; Dooley, third; and Pitzer, fourth.
