Lingerie-clad man hid under Macon house
The men took off running. The three of them bolted when a Bibb County sheriff’s deputy cruised up about midnight March 23. The trio had been standing in the middle of Edgewood Avenue, a few blocks south of the county jail, when they apparently spotted the cop and ran. They darted across a driveway in the 500 block of Edgewood, just east of Second Street. As the deputy searched for them, he later noted in a report that as he scoped out a spot near a house there he heard a noise. Someone was moving around in the crawl space beneath the dwelling. The deputy peered under the house and saw a man crouched behind some old furniture. “I instructed the subject to come from behind (the furniture) with his hands up,” the deputy’s report said. The man, it turned out, had a purse in his hands and was wearing what the report described as “women’s lace lingerie.” The woman who lived in the house said she didn’t know the guy, who was said to be a 22-year-old from nearby Pebble Street, and that she hadn’t given him permission to be on her property. The report mentioned that the young man and the other two guys were likely the same ones who’d been spotted in the area a few nights earlier when they were “possibly soliciting for sex.” The guy who was caught was charged with trespassing and obstruction. When the deputy searched the purse, among the items he found were “35 individual packs of condoms” and a pack of “baby wipes.”
