Shoplifting suspect flees Macon Wal-Mart with sex toy in tow
A man was running across a Wal-Mart parking lot at 2:30 in the morning. A Bibb County sheriff’s deputy ran after him when a security officer at the store told him the guy was a shoplifting suspect. It was a short chase. The man, 5-foot-10 and about 220 pounds, wasn’t fast enough to get away. The deputy caught the guy, a 30-year-old, who according to the security officer had been seen inside the Gray Highway store cramming items into his pockets. The security officer said the man, who had been banned from all Wal-Marts, also had a lookout, a 27-year-old woman. She was also caught. The deputy’s report of the Oct. 30 incident noted that when he searched the man’s pockets he found a pair of Bic lighters, a portable speaker, some $20 Curve perfume and a $13 sex toy.
