Macon man carjacked at Zebulon Road Wal-Mart
A 63-year-old Macon man was carjacked around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the Wal-Mart located at 5955 Zebulon Road.
Alen Vorhees was walking to his vehicle when he was approached by two men, one of whom had a handgun, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
The men demanded money from Vorhees, but he told them he didn't have any. The men then demanded his car keys and drove off.
Vorhees was not injured, and his car was recovered off Bloomfield Drive after being located through its On-Star system, the release said.
The suspects are described as black men of unknown ages and medium height and weight wearing dark clothing, according to the release.
The sheriff's office is still investigating the armed robbery, and anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 478-751-7500 and ask for the on-call persons investigator or call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
