Two teens jailed without bond in connection to Warner Robins shooting

WARNER ROBINS -- Two suspected gang members authorities say are wanted in a shooting in Warner Robins were being held in the Houston County jail Saturday without bond.

Deondray Darnell Yarn, 18, and Ameshia Chartis Cosby, 17, were arrested late Friday morning at a home in the 800-block of Fraser Street in Atlanta, said John Edgar, a supervisory inspector for the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshal’s Service. The arrests were made without incident in conjunction with the Atlanta Police Department, he said.

Yarn and Cosby, both of Atlanta, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder and participation in a criminal street gang, Edgar said. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office online jail records show the charges as “conspiracy to commit a crime” and “participation in criminal gang activity.”

The teens were jailed in Houston County at 6:15 p.m. Friday night, online jail records show.

Officers seized a handgun found in the home following the arrest, Edgar said. He declined to comment on the crime Yarn and Cosby were arrested in connection with and referred comment to Warner Robins police.

Neither Warner Robins police Chief Brett Evans, Assistant Police Chief John Wagner or Capt. Chris Rooks, head of investigations, could be reached for comment Saturday.

The police agency’s public information officer resigned earlier this month, and the department’s online police record search was temporarily down because it’s being updated, according to a notice on the site.
