Bibb County grand jurors indicted three men Tuesday on rape charges in separate cases.
Frederick Bernard Harris, 37, is charged with rape, criminal attempt to commit a felony, false imprisonment, sexual battery and cruelty to children, according to an indictment filed in his case.
Harris is accused of assaulting a woman at a Clinton Road apartment on Nov. 10, 2013, according to the Bibb County District Attorney's Office.
Prosecutor DeShala Dixon said Harris is a convicted sex offender who was released from prison in 2013 after serving a sentence for statutory rape.
The cruelty to children charge stems from allegations a young girl was in the apartment during the alleged incident, Dixon said.
Harris is being held at the county jail without bond, according to jail records.
In another case, Patrick Rashad Threatt, 22, of Macon, is charged with rape and aggravated sodomy, according to court records.
Threatt allegedly attacked a 16-year-old girl as she slept at a home on Heard Street between Oct. 19, 2013, and Oct. 20, 2013, according to the district attorney's office.
He is being held at the county jail on $110,200 bond, according to jail records.
In a third case, 61-year-old Patrick Leon Rogers, of Marion Avenue, is accused of raping a girl, who was under age 16, multiple times between Aug. 12, 2010, and Jan. 30, 2013, according to an indictment.
Rogers, who is charged with rape, is being held at the county jail without bond, according to jail records.
He has prior convictions for forgery, sale of cocaine, burglary and theft by receiving stolen property, according to the indictment.
