Teen shot in north Macon dies at hospital
A 17-year-old was shot and killed during an apparent home invasion in north Macon Wednesday.
Crime scene tape cordoned off a few houses in the 800 block of Green Oak Terrace just before 11 a.m.
"Right now, it's looking like more of a possible burglary," Bibb County sheriff's Capt. Randy Gonzalez said.
Paul Brown III was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, for treatment. He was pronounced dead about 11:45 a.m., Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.
He died from a single gunshot wound to the chest and collapsed in the front yard of 820 Green Oak Terrace.
His death marked Bibb County's 29th homicide this year.
Late Monday, a 20-year-old Macon man, Keenan Olajawon Guice, was shot and killed after an argument at an apartment complex off Vineville Avenue boiled over into gunfire.
